After graduating from the University of Florida's M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Construction Management, Mr. Phillips obtained practical construction experience serving as an assistant project engineer for a large Central Florida commercial builder. He now represents parties throughout the chain of design and construction, including architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, distributors, manufacturers, owners, construction managers, and developers.
Mr. Phillips’s experience includes all aspects of state and federal construction litigation and construction-related arbitration proceedings, including claims relating to professional errors and omissions, construction defects, lien disputes, bid challenges, scheduling and delay, property damage and remediation, mold, Chinese Drywall, and collections. Mr. Phillips also focuses on contract review, negotiation, and drafting; all levels of appellate proceedings; representation of clients in Construction Industry Licensing Board proceedings; construction and design-related personal injury claims; landlord/tenant matters; and outside corporate/general counsel services.
